Cheryl Hackett is a communications specialist, editor, blogger and author of Newport Shingle Style (Frances Lincoln Publishers, Ltd. 2010). Since earning a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in English and Journalism from Salve Regina University she has developed a keen interest in architecture and architectural history. 

She works closely with editors, art directors and photographers and has  had over 400  articles published in national magazines. Her articles focus on architecture, interiors, and lifestyles.

Cheryl teaches writing classes at Johnson & Wales University and the University of Rhode Island. She has also taught writing at Roger Williams University, Boston Architectural College and Salve Regina University.

Cheryl has worked with select clients to manage their media relations, branding, proposal writing, design award submissions, presententations, and special events.
